Muxunav brings the retrofit of unattended machines to Latin America thanks to Conexa
Muxunav, a Navarre company specialising in vending retrofit, gives a second life to unattended vending, gaming and laundry machines and expands into Latin America together with Wireless Logic and Conexa’s multi-IMSI SIM, after successfully passing the tests in Chile and the Dominican Republic.

About
Muxunav is a technology company that has made vending retrofit its corporate purpose. With more than fifteen years of activity, they have specialised in upgrading obsolete machines to give them telemetry and connectivity. This allows vending operators and other sectors (such as gaming or laundries) to save costs by extending the useful life of their equipment; and, of course, all this helps reduce the sector’s ecological footprint. The Navarre-based company designs its own equipment and develops and maintains its software and data-visualisation platform. Its commitment to the environment is also reflected in its supply chain: they have a zero-kilometre supplier for the manufacture of their devices. Its flagship product Telmarkt goes beyond telemetry; it is a small computer that integrates into the machines and takes vending control to the next level. Operators and machine owners, whether vending, gaming or washing machines, can see their sales in real time, taxes included (Telmarkt is integrated with Ticketbai), manage stock efficiently, switch equipment on and off remotely, and accept QR payments. It also makes it easy to integrate a range of accessories, such as card readers for cases where the machine owner wants to offer card payment, or age-verification devices via ID-card reading, to prevent minors from accessing certain products. Of course, cybersecurity is one of the pillars of Muxunav’s solutions. The Navarre company has very strict protocols to safeguard the privacy and integrity of data and invests significant resources in audits to ensure that its solutions are properly protected against cyber threats.Challenge
After successful growth in Spain and Europe, the natural evolution of the business has led Muxunav to look across the pond; Latin America offers a market full of opportunities for Telmarkt to become a benchmark in the retrofit of vending, gaming and laundries. In an environment such as retail, the connectivity solution is one of the most critical links in the chain, since any outage can directly impact the business; every minute that equipment is out of service means potential lost sales for operators and machine owners. Connectivity, although from an external perspective it may be taken for granted, is subject to multiple factors, both technological and regulatory, which adds extra complexity to deployments across multiple territories. When deploying equipment in new markets, there are some questions to answer. Which operators have infrastructure in the target markets? What access technologies are available? Are there permanent roaming regulations?Solution
As one does not always have the knowledge and expertise in an area as complex as global telecommunications, it is critical to have a connectivity partner capable of answering those questions and offering robust, cost-effective and decisive connectivity services. Muxunav turns to Wireless Logic in search of a flexible solution to deploy across different regions of the American continent.
Result
After a successful testing phase in Chile and the Dominican Republic, Muxunav now sets its sights on new markets, both inside and outside Latin America, to expand its business and give a second life to obsolete machines. Moreover, they can do so by simplifying the production chain, using a single SIM SKU for all deployment locations, thanks to eSIM/eUICC and multi-IMSI technologies. With the help of the SIMPro platform, Muxunav keeps thorough control of its fleet of cards deployed with Wireless Logic worldwide, regardless of region, profile or access technology. In this way, the customer outsources the complex connectivity processes and can focus on increasing the added value of its products and on getting certified with payment entities to offer comprehensive unattended-sales solutions.
«If a machine goes down, our customers lose money every minute it can’t take payments. We need reliability close to 100%, and Wireless Logic gives us that.» Antonio Torres, CEO of Muxunav
