Muxunav launches a digital payment method for the self-employed

Muxunav launches LaKuenta, a digital payment method designed for the self-employed that makes it possible to turn the phone into a virtual card reader. The solution works from the web, with no apps to install, takes payments via QR code, accepts card, Bizum, Google Pay and Apple Pay, and issues the invoice automatically to speed up day-to-day management.

Muxunav, a Navarre engineering firm specialising in the development of hardware and software for digital payment systems, has launched a new payment method so that self-employed workers can turn their phone into a virtual card reader.

This solution, called LaKuenta, offers an alternative to cash payment and gives the self-employed an easy, fast and digital way to charge for their services.

This system works through the website, with no need to download an app, and also generates the invoice automatically.

The user only has to access the LaKuenta website via mobile, tablet or PDA. They then enter the amount for the product or service they want to charge for and the system generates a QR code that the customer scans with their phone’s camera.

The website incorporates the four most widely used payment methods: bank card, commercial Bizum, Google Pay and Apple Pay.

LaKuenta does not charge fees on transactions, only a basic monthly fee for the use of the service, although the holder must pay the fee required by the payment method chosen by the customer.

Muxunav offers a free 14-day trial period. In addition, it has signed an agreement with the Spanish Association of Self-Employed Workers (ATA) to offer its 280,000 members special conditions when signing up for LaKuenta.
